50 Years of Posters

From the hand-lettered poster for the first Antoinette Brown Lecture, red on vibrant yellow paper, to the later audacious colors, words, and graphics, the posters created for the lecture series call us to witness the many ways that women intersect with the world and culture. The poster images are as wide-ranging as the lecture topics: music, the human genome, issues of life and death, social class and social justice, sex workers, images of God, non-Christian theology, intimate violence, parenting, white supremacy, and more are all addressed. [No lectures occurred in 1980, 1984, 2019, and 2021.]
