An excerpt from the June 14, 1886, Board of Trust minutes where H. N. McTyeire, president of the Board, first puts forth the idea of creating West Side Row. As the university’s student population grew and nearby boarding houses filled, the administration had to rethink its stance about providing student housing on campus.
