The fa\u00e7ade carries his dedicatory quote, \u201cThe Glory of God and the Service of Man.\u201d Since its construction in 1914, it has at times housed the Peabody Music Library, the Naval ROTC, and had a swimming pool in the basement and a chapel in the west parlor. At Chancellor Joe Wyatt\u2019s retirement in 2000, the building, newly renovated and expanded, was rechristened the Faye and Joe Wyatt Center for Education.
