The record company wished to feature &#8220;mostly ballads &#8211; safe love songs, sweetened with strings&#8221; that would make it onto country radio; Marshall wanted the album to showcase her songs.  One song debuted at 100 on the Billboard charts, then quickly vanished as one line was deemed too explicit for country radio.
