Nashville native Phila Hach (1926-2015) hosted one of the first cooking shows in the South, "Kitchen Kollege," on WSM-TV. She later published cookbooks and opened Hachland House, a country inn and corporate retreat outside of Nashville. As a caterer and writer, Hach successfully transformed simple southern recipes into high cuisine.
