Ruth Jackson’s Soulfood Cookbook
Ruth Jackson
Wimmer Brothers Books
1978
Ruth Jackson, a resident of Plains, Georgia, prepared this small cookbook with recipes from family and friends. At the time of the book's publication (1978), the small town of Plains was the subject of much public interest, as it was the home of then-president Jimmy Carter. The recipes are interspersed with photographs of Jackson's family and friends, as well as words of wisdom and a short history of Plains.
