Through Lines

Through Lines is a modern take on a historical instrument. Each piece focuses on a different “found” element: a gesture, articulation, form, tuning, or physical aspect of performance. The music is deeply influenced by the history of the viola da gamba (in 17th and 18th century Europe) while connecting to a modern musical conversation.” [Liner Notes for Through Lines]
