“Taking Off” is the final movement of Crescere Aude, a celebration of Vanderbilt University’s new motto, meaning “Dare to Grow”. As the word “dare” suggests, growth takes courage and often follows struggle and even failure. This movement charts a course that finds its way to “taking off” through a challenging landscape.
