Movement IV. Taking Off by Molly Herron

“Taking Off” is the final movement of "Crescere Aude" by composer Molly Herron. The excerpt from the premiere and other compositions, recordings, and publications of Herron’s are featured. Molly Herron is an Assistant Professor of Composition and Theory at Vanderbilt University. She released the album “Through Lines: New Music for Viola da Gamba” in collaboration with Science Ficta on New Amsterdam Records. Her work has been featured on the Band on a Can Marathon, MATA festival, American Composers Orchestra’s SONiC Festival, Fast Forward Austin, Berlin Film Festival, and Sundance Film Festival.
