The existing miniatures (for the Inferno only) are primarily the work of Pacino di Bonaguida. The production date of the original manuscript is estimated to be between 1333 and 1350. It’s considered to be the first illustrated Divine Comedy ever produced; it includes glosses by Jacopo Alighieri, son of Dante.
