Campus Map

Vanderbilt University’s fledgling campus grew slowly. This 1875 map of campus shows the Main Building (now known as Kirkland Hall); the observatory; and faculty houses. By 1887, the campus buildings expanded to include the Gymnasium, Wesley Hall, Science Hall, West Side Row (first dorm), and West Side Hall (dining hall).
