One of Gorey’s wordless mysteries, each finely illustrated page of The West Wing beckons one through succeeding rooms of a forbidding manor house.  From a fleeting image glimpsed in a mirror to the imprint of a body under a room’s wallpaper, the viewer must apply imagination to interpret the tale told by these pages.
