“The Charter of the Suicide Club”

Many of the student organizations of this period were social clubs, and often poked fun at the university. As seen in the image, the Suicide Club’s stated goal was to have its members commit suicide after being rejected by at least two women. They stated that several professors were refused admission as they had been rejected too many times.
