[Postcard of the Social-Religious Building, Peabody College]
Zibart Bros. of Nashville, Tennessee
1915
Built on the crest of a hill, the Social-Religious (SR) Building was intended to dominate the campus landscape as the most significant building on campus. With a construction cost of over $300,000 funded by John D. Rockefeller, the SR was the most expensive academic building on any southern campus at the time.
