Midori is a male frog who was really lonely.  He started out with many siblings as frog eggs, but most got eaten.  Then he had friends as tadpoles, but even though he had a lot of friends, most of them got eaten.  By the time he had lost his tail and could leave the water, Midori only had 10 brothers and sisters, but most of them were eaten by birds and dogs.  Midori explored the outside world and discovered people, but he was lonely.  He eventually found a female frog and got married.  He then returned to the pond he was born in, and he and his wife dropped off their frog eggs, completing the life cycle.
