This book is inspired from Roman history, and is composed of poems, with seventeen books in all. The book is an epic poem in Latin comprised of seventeen books. The author, Sillius Italicus, included historical frameworks to structure his poems through the details on the Punic Wars. The Printers device is a classic Italian design as shown on this page.
