It is believed that this decorated missal leaf for devotional use in the Diocese of Chartres was designed and printed in Paris by Thielman Kerver in the early part of the 16th century, possibly around 1529. The paper although thin and fragile is in good condition and the colors remain vibrant 500 years later.
