The Come Out Fighting Newspaper was a publication by the Lavender and Red Union, a prominent Los Angeles-based and self-described “gay liberation/communist organization” that became popular in the late 1970’s during the Gay Liberation Movement. This particular issue celebrates the success of the Gay Pride activities in Los Angeles in the summer of 1975. It contains multiple references to the 1969 Stonewall Riots, and the often tenuous relations between the police and queer demonstrations.
