Resist The War Machine

Persian Gulf Peace Committee
Vanderbilt University Special Collections

The Persian Gulf War (1990-1) began when Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait prompted the US and other NATO countries to deter a possible subsequent attack on Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil exporter. With the United Nations Security Council’s authorization, the allied coalition, led by the US, began an air campaign against Iraq that devastated its infrastructure and killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi troops and civilians. This flyer urges readers to join the peace committee in protesting Lockheed’s violent bombers.
