In this letter to author John Rees, Wodehouse confirms that he became a U.S. citizen in 1955.  He notes that international travel has been much easier since U.S. naturalization although he tends to spend most of his time on his estate in Remsenberg, New York.  Fellow author and playwright Guy Bolton and his wife lived nearby.  Bolton and Wodehouse  remained close friends since they worked together in musical theater in the 1910s and 1920s.
