Each room had a corner fireplace (which connected to the central chimney), a large bowl and water pitcher for students’ grooming, and oil lamps. A community pump, located in front of the cottages, provided water. Alpha, pictured, was demolished in 1966 to make way for a new residence hall – Carmichael Towers East.
