The "Blue Grass Cook Book" was produced by Kentucky siblings Minnie and John Fox and was one of the first cookbooks to acknowledge the labor, creativity, and contributions of African-American cooks to Southern cuisine. Ignored by book reviewers upon its release, "The Blue Grass Cook Book" is now recognized as a classic, and a new edition was published in 2005 with an introduction by historian Toni Tipton-Martin.
