[Dance Permissions and Other Rules for Women]

The Social Standards Committee issued rules for women regarding activities such as dating and dancing. Date privileges depended on a woman’s year and grade point average. Women’s residence halls closed one hour after campus dances ended and in order to stay at another woman’s residence, the hostess had to call the house director prior to the dance.
