Student Encounters

The Encounters display focuses on the faces we meet and pass by every day on campus. The portraits were taken in a mobile photobooth setup, and we invited people walking by to join the portrait sessions. Several were taken in front of the Central Library, where students gather and study. Others were taken in front of the Bishop Johnson Black Cultural Center, capturing the essence of a safe and welcoming place for many Black students. Included are portraits of the dining hall staff, an integral part of the student support system.
