Performance at Vanderbilt

They performed the dances from each region of Colombia that Delia had so carefully researched. Delia, and then Edelmira, had practiced and performed these in the same home in La Candelaria, the oldest section of Bogotá. While at Vanderbilt Edelmira also gave several lectures on campus and visited and reviewed the Zapata Olivella archive, helping to identify materials. Edelmira and the troupe also led a dance workshop at the Global Education Studio in Nashville. They then traveled to Indiana University for another series of performances before returning to Colombia.
