The Wodehouse Society

The Wodehouse Society was founded by Captain William Blood, his wife Mary Blood, and Franklin Axe in Pennsylvania in 1980. The purpose of the society is to promote an appreciation of the works of P.G. Wodehouse and to build a welcoming community of fans, researchers, and scholars. The society has evolved into an organization of more than 600 members spread across the United States and around the globe. To establish an enduring legacy devoted to preserving Wodehouse’s work as well as the history of the society, members of the society have generously donated significant portions of their personal collections to form the P.G. Wodehouse Collection at Vanderbilt University.
