Life of P.G. Wodehouse

Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse was born in Guilford, Surrey, England, on October 15, 1881. In a career spanning seven decades, Wodehouse worked as a bank clerk and journalist while writing articles and short stories for a variety of magazines; explored musical theater; and saw many of his writings adapted to film, radio, and television. Bertie Wooster and his valet Jeeves, Lord Emsworth and the denizens of Blandings Castle, the adventures of Psmith, and the wild tales related by Mr. Mulliner have all garnered Wodehouse a memorable place in the literary canon of the past century.
