Mr. Mulliner is a fictional character in short stories written by P.G. Wodehouse.  A patron of the pub The Angler’s Rest, Mr. Mulliner entertains his fellow drinkers with tall tales of the adventures and experiences of his extended family, each tale more outrageous than any told by other patrons of the bar.  Fourteen of the Mulliner stories were adapted for the television series the Wodehouse Playhouse which aired on the BBC between 1974 and 1978.  Two short-lived radio adaptations, Meet Mr. Mulliner and More Mr. Mulliner, aired on BBC Radio 4 in 2002 and 2004.
